This dog obviously thinks she is the alpha. IMO, this dog should be obedience trained before it is considered she be put down. The dog is probably not retarded...just wasnt trained properly.

Also if the owner fears that this dog will harm her children maybe she should consider re-homing the dog to a family without children that is willing to spend the time and money to have her properly trained. JMO.

hi there, this rotti is definatley not sick in the head. She has just done exactly what my poodle has tried to do. You give in to each growl and she thinks that she has won in each catagorie. For instants she growls at the food bowl and no-one disciplines her, she thinks she has won that one and will continue to do it and with whatever she is not disiplined about. She wants to rule the house and it seems that she has gotten her way. A rottweiller should not rule the house nor should a poodle. One by one the owner needs to let the dog know that each thing that she is growling about should not be tolerated. I would be freaked out going to a household where a huge dog ruled.

Sounds to me like it might be took late, he or she is already dominating. Even if it was placed, make sure whoever they place him with sign a agreement, not responsible in any way shape or form if the dog does bite. Sounds to me like eventually it will with a attitude like that.
