My 8-year old lab/retriever has what his vet called a partially torn ligament. It is on his hind leg. The vet put him on two (2) 100 mg of rimadyl a day and also some vitamins called Glyco-Flex. I have been reading a lot of things about remadyl that doesn't sound that good. Does anyone know of any alternatives? Or, what has your experience been w/torn ligaments and remadyl use? I would appreciate any info you may have. Thanks IP: Logged |

the medicine that you are talking about Remadyl is know to cause liver problems over time. I have heard that glucosamine products can help but don't solve the proplem. It kind of sugar coats the problem. I think the only way to solve the ligament problem is with surgery. IP: Logged |
