Hi Ya'll

The day I was going to purchase a Maltese, just so happened to be the same day I discovered Malte-Poo's. I was in disbelief about the existance of such amazing little creatures! I'd never heard of such a thing, and I thought I knew absolutely everything about toy breeds. Anyway, my research has only gotten me so far. Though, I am pretty sure this is the right dog for me.

A few questions, thanks in advance.

So, they're 2-5lbs, completely full grown? I've only seen pictures of the puppies.

What do they cost on average?

Does anyone know how to locate one (store, breeders) in the New York/New Jersey and North Carolina area?

I had a maltepoo and she was about 5 punds full grown but she was a half maltese and half toy poodle and that makes a difference because i have another maltepoo and she is not part toy and she is bigger she weighs about ten pounds or more. I prefer the smaller ones. My dog lived 14 years and she was THE best dog and we got her from some friends of ours for free so I dont know how much they are. I have been trying to find another one because our friends dont breed them anymore and I havent had any luck so if you know or hear of anywhere near Oklahoma that I could find one I would appreciate it if you would let me know. Thanks!!!

The thing I was wondering about was the shedding. Pardue64 mentioned they don't shed. Do Maltese shed at all? I know poodles don't. If not it must be because they are a dog that has hair that constantly grows. I love the little white dogs. My min. poodle is a very light apricot or may have been apricot, now more cream. I have only had her a little over 2 years. She is about six years old. But I like big dogs too. I live in an apartment and the thought of a big dog probably would not have gone over too well with my landlord.

puttin510,

We have a malte-shitzo cross. I can confirm absolutely no shading.

Hair grows long. Needs hair cut about every two months unless you are happy with long hair look.

Adorable dogs ! highly recommended for a family.
