We have a 6 yr old english mastiff who continuously develops what appears to be in grown hairs. I wonder if this is indiginous to this breed because we have had many breed that have never developed this problem. With attention, cleaning and"GentaVed topical Spray" they go away in about two weeks. One is becoming evident now on his neck. the last is just about healed which was on his right hip. Does anyone have any experience with something like this? IP: Logged |

What kind of food are you feeding him or her? IP: Logged |

Are you sure its not speargrass or something similar causing the problem? Otherwise might be something to do with the short sharp hair mastiffs have. Have you tried vigorous brushing? With the right type of brush you may be able to help this condition. Might need to brush several times a week. IP: Logged |
