I have a 8 week old Shihtzu...she has experienced great trauma, was stepped on and left outside the vet to be put down...they saved her and I adopted her...she is a joy!! I have never owned an animal and am lost...I have bought a few books and still...She constantly bites my hands and ankles and growls at me...I think she is playing only it is getting more and more aggressive...other times she is an angel. At night (she is kennel trained) still, she cries and scratches the kennel door even after we take her out to eliminate...we have had no sleep for weeks and I want to give this little baby a good home and have her grow up friendly and balanced....HELP!!!!

Thanks for any and all advice.

Hi,

No doubt, her behaviour doe’s suggest a trauma. She is still young though
and some training will help ease the situation. I suggest to let her sleep next
to you at night. We have a crossed maltase shiatsu and his bed is next to our
bed. Many times we even let him sleep with us in our bed. Maybe this is all
she needs some good TLC to strengthen the bond between you guys.

Also, make sure she can see other dogs atleast 2/3 times per week. With some
patience and training She’ll get over this.
