ruby is a very sweet girl. her temperment test shows a confident well manored dog who is not shy but not agressive. perfect for a family pet. she is very well rounded. she is a rescued puppy. her mother was a pure bred rottweiler and her father one of 2 doberman pinsers turned in with the mother dog and her 5 puppies.at times ruby can appear to be a pure bred rottweiler and at others you can see the doberman qualities.she is not cropped or docked and is to old to be. she still has her dew claws.ruby was rescued from a 98 percent kill rate shelter where her mother and siblings were scheduled to be put to sleep in 2 days.the dobermans one of which was her father were rescued by a oberman rescue group out of columbus.ruby came from a mansfield dog pound which is unclean, provides no medical work and euthanises dogs by the gass chamber aka a lethal gass which sufficates the animals making them die in agony.ruby is very sweet and lovable. she is going to be a big strong well defined adult dog. she is already very solid and muscular. ruby goes for daily walks and runs and i can tell by looking she is going to be a nice muscular adult dog especially for being so muscular so young. a home with a fence of 6 feet will be required, also a home with no small children(because of her size and energy level; she will still be a clumbsy puppy at the age of one when she weighs 70 lbs and with puppy energy and playfulness she could easily knock over a child with out meaning to)she is great with other dogs. loves to wrestle with them. her foster home never took the time to house break her or crate train her they let her pee and poop in there home and cleaned it up because they were to lazy to walk the puppy or take her outside.ruby now lives with me and is great in her crate and is well near house broken even at this young age.she will whine for a few minutes but if you just leave her along dont yell or bang on the cage or disturb her she is very quick to fall right asleep and she is a very sound sleeper no matter what noise you make she does not get up and whine and she sleeps through the night with out making a peep.she will whine and cry in the morning to let you know she needs to be let outside and as long as she is taken outside as soon as she is let out of her crate she will not have a accident in the house.she goes outside at 5 or 6 in the morning(time we get up for work) at 10 in the afternoon(she does not usually need to go then but she cries to be let out of hr cage if someone is home and i take her outside just in case),at 2 in the afternoon and then at 5 or 6 she goes walking in the park.she wont have a accident all day in the house or if she is crated.she is a great dog but not for the first time dog owner. puppies can be hard to raise right. many people create behavioral problems when they are puppies and when the dog becomes a adult and has the same problem they dump them because the whining or biting and chewing is not cute any more.for this reason i require the new home has or can prove past experiance with either rottweilers or dobermans and will take the puppy to obediance classes no later than 2 months after they get the pup.this will weed ou any bad behaviors the pup may pick up fomr lack of training.she must be taken to northcoast dogs or a reputable dog trainer which uses only possitive training tecniques. not hitting or abuse as a form of disiplin or training.rub will make a family very hppy. her picture will be avaliable online soon. she goes on spay contract, adoption application, vet refrence/personal refrence check and home inspection required.no person with past record of animla abuse or violent crimes will be considered for adoption.

Curios....what traits of a Doberman can be distinguished at times from this dog? I have owned several, and just curios as to what you mean?
Also, never too old to crop ears, but ideally is done between ages 8-12 weeks. So no, puppy is a little older, but not by any means too old. Some dogs even undergo recuts when adults because of bad ear jobs such as ragged edges or corrective shape/adjustments. The ears are primarily done before the main dense cartilage yes, but that pup's age is still fine. Many people just aren't in an area of well-informed vets. Seek a breeder, and go from there. And a proper cut ensures a standing ear, but sports-taping them and never letting a "kink" develop, keeping them up, ensures a wonderful and beautiful ear. I hope this has helped. God bless.
