I just recieved a great dane pup as a birthday present and he seems very small for a 8 week old pup. He weighs ten pounds and looks healthy. From what I have read he sould be more like 20 pounds at this age. The parents were 190 pounds for the male and 140 for the bitch. Any ffedback would be appreciated. He will have an appointment to see a vet tomorrow! IP: Logged |

First, congragulations on your new puppy! I just found this pet forum and I saw your question, and that no one has responded yet, so I will. When we got a St. Bernard puppy , she weighed 8 1/2 lbs at 6 wks. and she matured to 150+ lbs. Her dad weighed 200, mom was 140. Hope this helps ya! IP: Logged |
