Hello, I am after any information on Shih-poo's / Malte-poo's or any other Shih Tzu crosses. Would also like to view photos and would like to get in contact with any breeders of the above. Many Thanks - Sheree IP: Logged |

We have a 2 yr. old shih-poo, named Bosley. Every pet has his own personality and level of intellegence. Some are really smart and some aren,t. To list "characteristics" of a breed is misleadingex loyalty, loving, quiet temperment, bad breath, etc etc. Choose your pet based on the reputation of the breeder, the appearance and behaviour of the dog, your vets opinion upon examination and your own personal committment to train and teach him the type of behaviour you expect. He will learn to be as well behaved as you are determined to teach him. Shih-poos require daily brushing, face washed daily due to their eyes discharging . Regular groomimg approx every 2 months, cost varies but around 35 dollars a time, Exercise...sure they like sitting on your lap but they also need frequent walks and they love to run and play in the snow. The poodle component of the breed was a hunter and field dog and this part of the breed is spunky and loves to be active. Finally, these animals are social and thrive on attention. Can you provide it? Be honest with yourself. Life in a cage 10 hours a day while you're at work and back in the cage while you are out more than at home isn't the life for any active dog.
