Hi there,

Quick question for any of you who may know:

I haven't researched the issue yet, so I am wondering if any of you have or happen to know. I keep on hearing and seeing these commercials for 1-800 PetMeds, and I wonder if it would be a better "deal" than buying straight from a vet's office. I currently buy Frontline and Heartgard from my vet, and am wondering if it is any cheaper to do it through 1-800 PetMeds.

I really don't mind at all spending the money, I just figure if I can get a better deal on it through that company I should probably go for the better deal.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

Have a great day!

you can just go on the website and see how much they are charging for the products you get for your vet.. that's what i did.. i found out that they would be charging me more than i pay for them now (from my vet).. but each vet charges differently so it may be a "deal" for you..

Hiya Kristi,
I checked out the 1800petsmeds months ago and I found that it was more expensive! I think they might be good for those people who live in rural areas or are homebound. Cuz our corner petstore was actually cheaper (even before the shipping). BUT! I just ordered from Dr Fosters and Smith's website last week and it was on sale. I just checked and the Frontline and Advantage products are still on sale.... check it out! It's only around $23 versus $35-ish. http://drsfostersmith.com/

I know you mentioned before that you've ordered from that site before. In fact, I meant to mention to you that I finally decided to try that "show eyes" stuff for the white part of Bailey's face. I'll let you know how it works! (I'm still waiting on my order)!

Thanks everyone for all the great advice! I was wondering if it would end up being cheaper or not. I am definitely going to check out the web sites y'all provided and compare it with my vet's prices.

Once again, thanks everyone for saving me a little bit of research. I'm off to do some price comparisons!!!

MonsterBailey~

It is funny you mentioned the eye stuff, Mickey & Tigger went to their groomer on Friday and while I was dropping them off that subject came up. She said that she had just ordered some stain removing/whitening product (I forgot what the name of it was), and once she gets she will give it a try and let me know if it works. So, I am curious to hear how it will work.

When you get your "show eyes" product and try it out, let me know what you think about it. I am anxious to hear!!!

you should definitely order from the drsfosterandsmith site at the moment..... it's dirt cheap right now!! (I LIKE dirt cheap...hehe)

and yes, I'll keep you posted on the "show eyes" or whatever it's called. I can't wait to try it.... his little beard/mustache is getting pretty stained and it's the one place he absolutely REFUSES to let me wash during bath time. Hmmm... Sometimes I wonder who is in charge here

MonsterBailey~

YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!!

I just got finished researching various web sites and comparing their prices to my vet's prices. Doctors Foster & Smith were indeed the cheapest...YAY! (I too love a good deal when I see one, who doesn't!!! )

Needless to say, my order is made and I am a happy camper!!!

About the eyes, Tigger isn't too fond of having his eyes cleaned either. He doesn't mind when I do it at other times outside of his bath, but during his bath it is a whole different story. He is just like a typical toddler when they don't want their face wiped. LOL Oh well, one way or another, I get 'em cleaned during his bath...he sure does give me a run for my money though! hehe Everybody needs a good challenge once and a while, right? (or at least that is what I keep telling myself)
