Hi Milo~

Although I have never attempted to make my pups homemade biscuits, I did just go to google.com and typed in "dog biscuit recipes" and it came up with a TON of websites for them. Hope that helps you out a bit! You're going to be the next "canine Betty Crocker" I bet! hehe

Cooking is not exactly my forte, so I plan on just sticking with the store bought ones for the safety and health of my dogs. (I wouldn't dare subject Mickey & Tigger to MY cooking! LOL)

Let us know if you find a particularly good one,
Kristi

"show Time" Liver Cake

2$ - 3$ worth of liver (or just a frozen package)
3 cups of flour (2 cups whole grain 1 cup all purpose or however you want to do it)

1/2 cup of grinded sunflower seeds (optional)

1/2tsp. of Garlic Powder

1/4Cup of Molases

2 Eggs (with shells if you want, as long as they're grinded finely)

1 Grated Carrot

METHOD:
Start by combineing all wet ingrediants, gradually adding dry.
Add a little bit of water if your mixture is too thick, like a soft dough.
-Roll it into a 13" X 9" cake pan (spray a cup or your hands with cooking spary to do this)
- Bake 20-30 minutes @ 350F degrees.
- cut while still warm.
- The longer you bake the crunchier they'll be.
bag up the liver cake and freeze it. it will get mouldy if it's left in a container or bag for too long.
*~* THIS IS GREAT FOR TRAINING, AGILITY, CONFORMATION, OR JUST TO SHOW YOUR HOUND YOU CARE*~* keep in mind that liver is quite rich and this should ONLY be used as a TREAT NOT AS A MEAL!

AND

MIX IN LARGE BOWL:
1 cup of all purpose flour
1 cup whole whaet flour
1 table spoon baking powder
1 cup of grated carrot
1 cup of grated cheddar cheese

MIX IN SMALL BOWL THEN ADD TO ABOVE:

2large eggs
1 cup of milk
1/4 cup of vegitable oil

-COOK AT 350F DEGREES
-12 MINUTES FOR 'MINI' MUFFINS
-20-25 MINUTES FOR LARGE MUFFINS OR LOAVES
-***USE PAPER LINERS INSTEAD OR FOIL***-
These are great for doggie birthdays, for icing use light cream cheese or cheese whiz

ALSO

Fry up some liver
-Feed as small reward for training. For training basic puppy obidienace this treat works well.
this should only be cooked by the people who have quite a strong stomach (IT STINKS!!!) but your dog will love you for it.
FEED IN FINGERNAIL SIZED PIECES.

Yes i do think there ok.
as long as your dog isnt alergic to any of the ingrediants and you dont feed them like food. these are a special reward.
It is also nice to make sure you have a full stomach when treating your dog to the liver cake because it smells quite good.
Both recepies are 100% human safe too. *(*In case you ever get tempted*)* :-D
