My Mia is a toy poodle who is six months old. About once a week I find her to vomit a yellowish substance in the morning. What causes this and how do I fix it? No other symptoms or problems. Very playful, eats, sleeps, poops and pees.

Sounds like bile and it seems to happen in some dogs when they have an empty stomache. Maybe a little snack before bed would help? Hopefully someone else will have more suggestions for you. Good luck.

I have no idea. I remember i used to give Milo treats and found out that they were very rich in the ingredients that they put in. I quickley took him off the treats and bought others. Maybe it's his food or treats your giving your pup? other than that i have no clue. I am new to the puppy-mummy hood. LOL

Thanks,
Christina

Perhaps changing his diet. Also, milk bones and small treats will help with an upset stomach. Perhaps he's eating something he shouldn't be. I would take him to the vet just to be sure.

Hi there most females when they are going to start there first heat will vomit on a morning and sometimes during the day.
At 6months old it is likely she maybe due some dogs have there first heat at 6months others never have theres till 18months old.

Also like nerm says this could be due to her having an empty stomach.

A check up by the vet will rule out anyhting that could be wrong.

My toy poddle vomitted few times when she did not consume much of her dinner. My family came to the conclusion that she vomitted the yellow liquid when she had an empty stomach. We feed her some snacks during supper.
