When you first got your pup(s), what was the hardest thing to get used too? And, the easiest (if any)?

Hi there Poo Girl....We have had Calvin for about 3 weeks now...and it has been quite an adjustment. I look at it as a great prep class for mommyhood. He is only 9wks old now and does not take well to traveling in the car ...so it's been a little hard to leave the house for longer then 1-2 hours.
On the flip side...i can't wait to see him in the morning for the kisses and love that he gives us. Makes being homebound just a little easier...looking forward till he is a little bit older.

Hardest: Loss of time! (I don't view it as a negative though. Much of the lost time is time well spent and having fun with the two of them.)

Easiest: The easiest would have to be just plain old having them (dogs) around!

We've only had Jenny for a week and a half, but it is quite a "shock" to our family life. I'd say the hardest thing is the crying at night (which has already gotten better) and the amount of time and attention she needs. Luckely we have an 11 year old and a 7 year old that give her their attention when they come home from school. Jenny is never left alone for more than an hour or two. I work 2 days a week for 6 hours a day, and during that time I have arranged for my mom to babysit her (she's handicapped but she can at least be there to comfort her and make sure she has water and food) It's just like having another baby. The Easiest part of our new pup: Unconditional love...she has made us so happy...and like I tell my kids, it's our job to respect and love her in return.
