Hi everyone...I just joined this site and its been fun and addicting reading the posts. My husband and I got a Maltipoo about 3 weeks ago. He is now 9 weeks old. Since he did not have too many teeth at first we tried feeding him canned food-we tried SD-Euk.-Nuto and he snubbed them all. So I decided to grind up the SD dry food and mix it with some warm water...which he loves. My question is...that it seems that he is gaining weight very fast..And after reading the ingredients it seems like there is more starches and carbs then protein in the dry food. So...if anyone has a good suggestion as to what a picky Maltipoo might like to dine on while still getting a nutritious meal but without the bloat!
As soon as I figure out how to post a picture of our new baby i will do so..but for now just think The Snuggles Teady Bear

Thats a good questin. I have no idea. My dog Milo is not a picky eater. He eats everything and anything. Well except the vet treats. He dosn't like those. What are you gonna do. What i have learned over the past few months of being a "Dogmom" is that the purina beneful is horible. I couldn't understand why Milo, a small shih-poo, who weight's 6.6lbs finished a whole bag in a week 1/2. well i figured out that there was nothing but salt and sugar. Basically, Treats. So i don't know if that helps you but can atleast be considered, usefull information to know.

Thanks,
Christina

Christina...thanks so much for your reply...your Milo is adorable. Looks a lot like my Calvin. I wish I could figure out how to post his picture.
Anyway..I think i am going to try Innova. The only good part about him eating SD is that he is not getting any staining around the mouth...and his breath still smells like rose!
I will let you know how it works out...I am off to the pet store.
