Hi everyone!!

Well, my hubby and I have decided that we are going to get our Shih-poo's in April/May... I would like to start reading up on puppy training etc. and wondered if anyone could suggest a good training book?

Thanks so much!

i like the book puppies for dummies. it's an easy read and a great reference to have no matter the dogs age.. i spent hours on end reading books in the bookstore before i decided to purchase this one.. bella will now be 2 in march and i am still constantly using the book as a reference..

I think the books "Before You Get Your Puppy", "After You Get Your Puppy" and "HOw To Teach A New Dog Old Tricks" by Ian Dunbar might be good choices for you. Best of luck.

Well, I got my puppy book today! I spent about 45 minutes in the bookstore before deciding to get Puppies for Dummies.

I have a few things to do around the house, then I'm going to settle down and read it for a while Thanks again for the suggestions!
