Our 9 month old predominantly white cat has acquired black spots and a small blood patch around the bottom of his chin.

The hairs look slightly patchy too. He came back from a city based private kennel two week stint mixing with other cats and dogs a few weeks ago.

Are they serious? Does anybody know what they are?

We shall take him to the vet soon...

It could be fleas laying eggs under the skin.

When you say "black spots" do you mean black spots of hair or is it more like little black dots of skin?
It could possibly be feline acne.
