Just wondering, What is average for a dog to sleep a day?? I heard 18 hours?? True??

I wish mine would sleep that long ! LOL ! I think around here they take turns so so I can't get any sleep .LOL!
I do not know the exact time ,but My older dogs and puppies sleep longer than my younger adults do .I think it is up to the individual dog and their sleep habits and exercise .I would imagine that one that is in a crate would sleep longer cause they have nothing to do .
