okay this may be a slightly silly question, but it has got to be asked.. tomorrow bella is going to the groomers, it's my first time taking her to a groomer, it is a local shop (not petsmart). know the question: do i tip? if so how much?
i just realized tonight that maybe it is customary to tip the groomer the same way you tip a hair dresser. thanks for any replies i get.
btw she goes friday at 10am eastern, so i need replies before then

I don't tip my husband when he grooms .Maybe I should ,he might get better at it ! LOL !
I would think if it was in like a petsmart ,where there was alot of groomers and if it was a shared venture ,then tipping would be okay .But if it is one -owned groomer salon or in a home ,pay would be her /his gain and not shared ,so why tip ?
Maybe someone else here can help more ,but that is how I would look at it .

i passed by the place today and looked inside (just to make sure i was okay with taking bella there).. they had more than one table, maybe two or three.. i think there is more than one groomer there.. but probably no more than just a couple.. if that helps any

If more than one groomer ,you can ask when you get there also just to make sure ,I would tip.Don't ask me how much though ,cause that would be up to whether I liked what they did to my baby .If I didn't ,I would pay ,tell them what I thought and leave ,if I loved it ,I would tip ,say thanks and see you again .Check your baby though before you leave or tip for burns and cuts .

OMG... are you serious??! yipes... I've never tipped and it never evencrossed my mind...UNTIL NOW!! uhhhh.... now i feel like a heel..... LOL..the ironic thing is I tip the person who cuts MY own hair.

Don't worry about it .I imagine there are alot of people that do and don't .This is the first time I have ever thought about it .And I would have to tip myself ,cause I cut my own hair .LOL!
