I got home from walking my big guys this evening and Tootsie jumped up in my lap. Where her soft spot is there is now a swollen bump. Please tell me that is not her brain.
She is doing just find, acting herself and still wanting to play. It looks like a cat got her because she has a little scratch on her forehead. Should I race her to the vet? or should I calmly make an appt for her tomorrow?
Im trying not to over react, but I dont want to not react enough if this could be serious.

So last night she insisted on playing and was fine. We went to bed. Alarm went off. Tootsie was dead. I am such a horrible horrible person for not rushing her to the vet. I really thought it was just a bump and no big deal. Why wouldnt I have woken up? I always wake up in the middle of the night to check on her. Why not last night?

I am so sorry to hear that she passed away .
There are no words that I can say to comfort you except .It is not your fault .It was God's will .To blame yourself only adds to the pain .She just had some problems and could not overcome them .I am sure she knew you loved her which is why she came to you when you came home ,she wanted the love she knew oyu would give her .Ours for awhile ,God's forever .If you want to talk more you can e-mail me .Again ,I am so sorry .

I am SOOO sorry! It is not your fault! Like maltipoos said, it was God's will! God apparently had a reason you didn't wake up that night, maybe he wanted her to add a little bit of joy to heaven

I'm so sorry this happened. Also, that we did not get here to post soon enough. I feel so very sad for you. (((((HUGS))))) Have you spoken to the breeder about it?

No her litter was found in an abandoned house with 2 other sets of of moms and babies. I believe it was another chi family and a family of poodles.
They were living on moldy stale food that had been torn around the house and it smelled so disgusting from them living in their own waste.
Unfortunately there was no one to call
