My minuture pomeranian is loosing hair! little hair balls are comming off every where. We used frontline i think it was and he is less then 7lbs and all they had was for 10-11lbs+ (i hate this vet) and about 2wks later he starts losing hair and scratching every where.

This vet sucks, he is allergic to the rabie shots and they gave him benadril(spelling) before the shot and he was fine, next time we whent they gave him stararoids!! and he was like not there! he didnt even know what was going on! i want to sue the jerks!
But does any one know what could be wrong with him? I love my little reilly!

Wow, that seems like a problem. I definitely agree with ilovemaltipoos. I say go and find another more reputable vet to get another opinion on what the problem might be. I know my two 7-8 lbs. shih-poos use the 10+ lbs. frontline and have had no problems whatsoever. So, your problem is most likely specific to your dog. Some dogs just can't tolerate certain medications, vaccinations, flea preventatives, etc.

Hope all turns out well,
Kristi

I would definately change vets and have your vet check your poms thyroid. My best friend raises poms and it seems often she has one that has thyroid problems which causes their little hair to fall out. Hope this helps and its sure worth checking into not only for the hair but the health of the pup. Good Luck! Karla
