Well I have a Pure breed Yorkie and I have a Peke A Poo. My Yorkie is definately a very, very, very high energy dog. There is such a contrast compared to the peke a poo. My Peke a poo is also catching on much faster to housebreaking than my yorkie did. Yorkies take much more patience to understand and train. Yorkies are Terriers and they are a very demanding and a little stubborn at time, they want to do what they want to do. My yorkshire can become overwhelming at times because he just wants constant attention and will not leave you alone until he gets it. If he has to bark in your face for two hours straight that's just what he will do. I love him and I would not trade him for the world but I don't know if this is a good breed for a first time dog owner. I was unprepared for this dogs demanding personality triats as a fist time dog owner. If you do get a Yorkshire make sure they get plenty of play time.

Hi,
I have a almost two year old male pekapoo and i love him. His is the best of two breeds. He is very smart, playful, and not two high energy like a poodle or low like a peekagise. he is very cute and loveable. However he can be very stubbron.he also licks-but most small breeds do. You all need be sure of the size your dog will get, pekapoos rage from 5 to 20 lbs. mine is 15. If you want a small one make sure that is what the parents are. Percy is about a foot long- without tail and about the same at the head. I shave his feet, bottom and belly once a mouth along with a bath. I brush him about once a week of that. He loses alot of hair about twice a years. Other than that it's not to bad. I will be getting another on when i am done with school. So you can see that I like the breed and would highly recomend you get one. Yokie get a lot of mats in there hair. Percy gets them only in his long, flowing tail and ears. They have also started to regiester them with the CKC.
