Is it okay to feed my maltese (junior burger) half a hamburger about once a week? Him and Tia share one (half and half) Is this ok or is it not good for them? Thanks IP: Logged |

i can't tell you for sure if it's bad for them or not.but i don't really think it's good for them because burgers are fattening and could pudge them out a little bit. IP: Logged |

Well my dog is naturally skinny I think. Because he is a little think and a few ounces wouldn't hurt him. Besides that factor does anyone see any harm in it? IP: Logged |

Is the hamburger raw or cooked? I think cooked would be better for them. Less chance of Ecoli or maybe getting worms. IP: Logged |

Sometimes starting off with the intention of just giving a little once a week can lead to to much. It happened to my poodle. But not with burgers. I would say if you are buying and cooking the meat yourself, then just a little piece is ok, no bread. but I would not trust the meet in fast food restraunts for my pups. I have my poodle down to a slim 11 lbs now, and with arthritis she needs to stay there. I give her a small chunk of chicken breast 2 x's daily with her meds tucked inside. That she loves. You could do that, buy chicken breast freeze it in cut up chunks and give him a chunk here and there. IP: Logged |

Okay! Thanks. I'll have to let my mom know about this. ![]() IP: Logged |
