If you remember my previous post, we were inquiring the personality differences between shihpoos, and maltipoos.... and we finally found and bought a puppy... turns out we got a cockapoo!

His name is Teagan (Irish for 'cute') and he's a black/silver beauty! His paper says he's a blue roan (not in my opinion) but his momma is a black and silvery cocker, and the dad is (believe it or not) an apricot poodle.

We are litterbox training him, and he's taken to it straightaway! We've only had him since 3:00 yesterday, and he's only had 1 accident - he even slept through the night until 4 this morning - trip to the box - then he went back to sleep with only a minute of whining.

He's quite a cutie-pie and has made a hit with the family!

More later - and if I can figure out how to load a picture, I will soon.

Of course you are remembered as a matter of fact I recommened the cocker poo to you as they are the sturdiest of the different mixes. Being that cockers are bigger. So tell me, is the blue roan sort of a black color with a sort of maybe gunmetal grey highlights? I also mentioned I had a cockerpoo that my whole family was attached to when I was a kid. I named the dog I have now after him. I can't wait to see Teagan. Nice irish sounding name. Get that hardware out for loading pictures then send them to a sight that will hold them. Yeah, his color is mainly black, but he has a merle pattern like an aussie would. The merle color is the roan they're referring to as blue roan. It is sort of a gun metal color, but he also has some apricot mixed in only in a few places WITH the gun metal gray.

He's regressed a bit from his litterbox, by going on the kitchen floor, but he's still little and we know accidents will happen. Our trouble is when the kids are playing with him, they forget he's so little too, and by the time all are engrossed in play - puppy forgets (like any potty training child) and goes right there. ""This too shall pass""!

He's a cutie pie, I'll say that. We grew up with a cockapoo (buff and white) and my mother was quite taken by his color. We had our last cockapoo put to sleep when I graduated highschool when she was 18 and very sick. That was 20 years ago. It's nice to have another one again!!!

I'll try the link you showed in the email and see if I can get a picture to show up here.
