well , count the days since the mating, most births are from the 63-65 day mark.
She will be looking for a good place to nest, lick her genitalia alot, scratch around in her nest, you may see she is uncomfortable, she may twitch a little or have mini contractions. You will also notice the kittens moving around alot in her belly.
When you see some pink coloured mucous being expelled from her vagina, then the birth is just moments away.
I would keep her confined if she is displaying any of the above signs or she has arrived at her due date.

good luck !

first of all thank you for your reply.
angels 63 day mark will be the 14th of this month, she has been cleaning herself a lot down there. her little belly is just huge! she was laying on my chest lastnight and i could feel 2 babys for sure moving around. she however has not done much nesting she just wants to be held all the time.
i will keep you posted thanks again for your advice.

Hi there congratulations on your kitty being pregnant.

You will notice a sagging of the breasts 2-3 days prior to birth. Her food intake will decrease and she will become more restless, and may even have difficulty breathing. About 24 hours prior to labor, body temperature will drop below 100F (normal 101.5 F). Now she will probably select an area to have the babies! Make sure this area is private, warm and clean.

A mucus discharge will pass from the vulva and then turn to a greenish color. Contractions will soon start, and the kittens will soon be born.

Just keep a very close eye on her.
if she is straining for more than 1hour and still has not produced a kitten call your vet straight away as a kitten may either be in either a breech position or is too large to be passed through the birth canal.

Hope all goes well and please keep us posted of her progress.
