Hi guys, this is the first time im posting a message on this forum. I needed somebody's help. I just got a kitten in december (he's around 12 weeks old now). It was abandoned at a friends farm and basically left out in the dead of winter to die . Well, i brought him home and he is great!his name is storm!!he has been full of energy and affection eversince he has been home. However, just today he seems to be too quiet! He has been sleeping all day, and hasnt been running around much! Also today for the first time when i carried him he mewed angrily.....like i hurt him, but im not sure where it is that i hurt him. Maybe im just being paranoid!!! i dont know what to do.....?!is this cause for worry....or normal...i havent seen any other signs or syptoms of infections or an injury on him or anything!it just seems odd......k...sorry this was so long..just didnt know who else to talk to....
thank you

Your cat couold be just really tired for playing a lot. Is he eatting okay? Let me know okay? You should call your vet and update them.

Hi madraggs, has the kitten ever been to the vet? If not get him there because there are vaccinations he needs to get him off to a healthy start. If he has and evrything was all good I would just keep an eye on him and if in a few days he's hiding and sleeping too much or snapping at you then definitly get him to a vet.But if you have other animals get him to a vet now because he may be contagious and you wanna try and prevent spreading anything to you or your other pets if possible.

hey guys!wow, thank you soo much for the concern. I really did not know who to talk to and the thing is we actually got him in london ontario, however, i live in toronto. So even though i did get him looked at by a vet in london (yeah he had works and fleas at the time)i havent gotten in touch with a vet here. So i will make it a point to do that tomorrow especially if an emergency situation were to occur. I feel really embarrassed admitting this, but he seems fine now....i think maybe he really was very tired and just needed a long nap. I got a bit worried because he became a bit aloof, leaving my room all the time even when i brought him in. And usually he always falls asleep on my bed. Also the time i picked him up...i must have been very rough... . Thank you sooo much for your replies. You have no idea how much i appreciate them. I didnt think anyone would reply especially since my message was so unhelpful with the lack of details.
No i havtn got any other pets. I am grateful for this little guy...heheh ....he is actually the first pet i have owned. I could never own one at home coz my mum has asthma...and im originally from Nairobi, Kenya, and people there are not big in keeping cats as pets... ( ihave no idea why). SO having him here with me in canada is great!my own little family . Thank you so much, again.....it was much appreciated.
Lots of hugs

It's easy to get freaked out over our little ones. Especially when they had a bad start in life. I totally understand.
