Has anyone ever had a problem with their cats eating their hair at any chance they get? Not only is this annoying, but i would think it could be dangerous. I've tried different things to deter him from doing so. Any thoughts anybody may have would really help out. My vet even had no suggestions.

thanks for your help.

one of my cats loves doing that.

usually i say "NO!" very firmly and flick his ear.

that goes for anything he does wrong.

he hasn't done it for quite a bit, so i guess it worked.

If i am laying on the floor my cat Joe will chew on my hair. You might be saying oh well he's just a kitten but he is 4 years old and does it to get my attention

Yep my little darlings do this too. I figure its their way of telling me I need a bath
It can be annoying trying to get the brush through your hair the next day but I don't think its dangerous afterall they swallow alot of their own hair. It probably just comes up in furballs!
