Hello,
My princess cat is so weird. Every month she changes her diet. Sometimes I will pick her up, and she would feel like she weighs a ton. Other times I pick her up and I can feel her ribs. She has plenty of food, and snacks included. Is she sick or does she just prefer a different diet every month? She is starting to worry me. This has been going on ever since she started getting mature, and getting into heat. HELP!

Hello. It may be hormone related, as she has not been spayed yet. As long as she is eating/drinking and being her usual self (although unspayed females can act a little wacky at times) she should be alright. How old is she and when are you planning on having her spayed?

Hello (again),
My cat, Pagan, is about 2 years old. I am not planning on getting her spayed. It's not really a big deal with her being in heat. I am just worried about her diet. When I get the money I WILL get her spayed.

Hello. You can call your local shelter or SPCA and they will often do a free spay or refer you to a clinic that will. It's worth looking into. I've also heard of them doing spays for as low as $40. There are a lot of health and behavioral benefits to getting your kitty spayed.
