Well the vet visit went well and his tail is not broken!! Woohoo!!

He has a pretty deep gash in it though. He has medication now and should be ok. Looks like we had quite the scare! Time to get those baby lock thingy's for the drawers!

For those who don't know, Sam had an accident last night and I thought he had broken his tail (he was climbing up the kitchen drawers while I was sleeping and managed to pull one out which then fell on his tail). The vet thought it was broken at first but after shaving the area and feeling about she feels confident it's not broken. A lot of swelling and pain (and that gash) but otherwise no problems. He was a brave little kitty at the vet! Poor thing, he was shaking all over when she was examining his tail...anytime she touched the area he would shake and cry

But we have the meds so I am sure he'll feel better soon. His next vet visit is a week from Friday to get neutered. fun fun

I'm so glad he's okay. I could tell how worried you were that his tail may be broken. Thanks for the good news update.
