Health/nutritionwise - there are other foods out there that are better/IAMS is overrated

Ethically - IAMS abuses animals in it's research facilities

Here is the link that was posted in one of the past threads.

Generally they are disliked because of the cruelty they show towards the animals that they test on.

Before all of this animal cruelty stuff came out I decided not to use b/c of the ingredients. It is not as good as a lot of other foods out there. My cats never really liked it either.

I noticed some new members are using Iams. I just thought they may want to read about Iams and decide for themselves if they still want to feed it to their cats/dogs.

Hello. Hills Science Diet does the same tests as IAMS.

Animal Cruelty. By using products like Iams and Eukanuba...you are supporting animal cruelty and it is as if you were doing it yourself. I did not know that Science Diet did the same thing...all I know is that they use cheap ingredients.

For your pets sake and the sake of other animals..please feed high quality foods. If you see the word "by product" on the side of the bag...think to yourself: would you eat it?

yes,

i just read about IAMS and eukanuba, and Hill's Science Diet too.

A good site to get information on animal cruelty is www.peta.com .it would turn anyone vegetarian. i've always been someone who is against the use of fur for clothes, especially with all the synthetic options available, but that website really opens eyes.

does anyone know anything about this brand of food, www.naturesvariety.com ? it sells at the local pet store down the road, but i have not been able to get literatrue on whether it's free from animal testing or not.

thanks!

Nature's Variety is one of the foods listed on PETA's site as a brand that does not test on animals.

thanks nern!

i'm so happy i found my kitties good food, that's safe and free from animal testing.

i think it's really important we give our cats good healthy food that's cruelty free - that way we know that by being kind to our pets, we're being kind to other animals too.
