Ok, I dropped a hard crunchy cheeto and this kittne ate it down like it had no trouble. But she wont touch hard kitten food or soft food right now for that matter. Now I know that she can eat hard things. What is wrong w her? Im seriously thinking about giving her back to the animal shelter becasue this makes me very angry. Shes sitting here on me right now, spoiled as can be like shes a princess or something. I need soem ideas here... nothing works. Im not feeding her human food.

Maybe you can get her some Nutri-cal while your working on trying to get her to eat her kitten food? Putting a small bit of canned food on your finger and rubbing it on her mouth might help...maybe if she gets a taste of it when she is really hungry she will eat some of it on her own.

Try chicken or tuna mixed with white rice, you really need to start getting her to eat but it may be that she hasn't been very well weaned. Maybe a syringe and some cat milk may help her along a bit.
Cats can not eat if they are stressed and if you get angry with her for NOT eating you are just going to compound her stress problems. Give her food and then just leave her to it don't stand over her waiting to see if she'll eat.

Do you have hard kitten food down where she always has access to it? My kittens would wander around and see the food and get curious and start eating it. Put some down for her if you haven't already.

My aunt had a cat that used to eat dog food more than cat food.My cats love fritos and dritos. It should be ok if you don't let them have too many and get them eating their own food.
