Hi guys, (new to this..)

Having affectionately named my cat "Chunda" when I first got him 10 years ago...I failed to realise that his name would become such an ironic problem. For the last 10 months now, he's been sick after nearly every bit of food (sometimes three/four times a day)to the point where his vomit is merely bile. As quite a talkative little chap, you can imagine he's persitantly swinging from my legs, and has lost a noticable amount of weight. Although I've seen the vet 3 times in this period..there is apparently little wrong; this clearly cannot be right. I've tried all food and consistencies, worming etc.
So if there are any Pet Sherlocks out there that can help me and my little friend then please do.

warm regards

Neave

Hello. Welcome to the site. I think any vet that says your cat is all right when he isn't and doesn't try to figure out what is the cause of the problem, isn't a great vet to have. I would seek another vet and have the new vet office call your vet to have all of Chunda's medical records sent to them. That way they won't have to do the same tests twice. It could just be a simple hairball problem or a more serious medical problem. Although, I have never heard of a cat having such hairball problems to the point where they are throwing up 3-4- times a day for 10 months.

What exactly do you feed your cat? Also when this problem started can you think of anything different that has happened in your household or to the cat? An example would be flea products, household products and so on.

Could he have problems with his food? Have you tried a sensitive stomach diet?

I would get a second opinion.
Have you tried a sensitive stomache formula...Royal Canin makes one. A diet with limited ingredients might also be helpful and if your currently feeding dry food you might have better luck with a canned limited ingredient diet or sensitive stomache formula.
