What are your cats' favorite thing to play with, besides regular cat toys?

My cat goes crazy for a Q-tip.

I had to hide the package because he figured out how to get them out. And he'll dig them out of the garbage can too if he sees one go in.

Full paper towel rolls & crumpled up receipts. I can never throw any paper away without getting the kittens attention and having to toss the paper in a ball across the room. Sometimes she even brings it back to me to be thrown again.

When I was a kid, my mom gave our cats those fuzzy pipe cleaners. If you smoke (I hope you don't do it around the cats! cigs suck!), my dad used to crunch up the soft crinkly packs into a ball and the cats loved to play with them.

What I do now--this is very cool and effective--is tie a cat toy to a fishing line which is attached reel and pole. I just send the toy flying and the cats chase it and I reel it back (My living room is very large). I can sit on my but and exercise the cat until he/she is panting. Very effective way to wear out a hyper cat.

I also like to bounce a superball off the wall sometimes (before I painted). That's pretty fun for me too.

Cardboard boxes, crumpled up paper balls and this long, soft, thin piece of fabric that I can't throw out, because he loves it so much. He likes it on the floor and he goes under it and attacks invisable objects from there.

He's so happy when he has all three going on at the same time (box, covered with fabric, with paper balls in box).

Here is a pic of him. He's so cute.

That is such a cute picture, Richard. Handsome has a toy a bit like yours, except it's store bought. It's battery operated and there is a plastic reel coming off of the stand. Attached to it there is a black fuzzy (non-animal fur) the size of a golf ball with dangling fabric. You can make it go slow for old cats or faster for younger cats. I bought quite a few at Christmas time for my friends and family. Their cats love it to. You can get it at Petsmart for $25.

My cats favorite toy is a crazy circle. It's a plastic circle with a ball that they smack around it. It has been the favorite toy since they were kittens. When I came back from out of town I saw that they had managed to get the ball out somehow. I'm sure it's lost somewhere in the basement. They did that with one before and I never found the ball, even when I moved. Now they have to wait till I can make it back to Petsmart b/c they don't sell them at Wal-Mart.

The next favorite is a wand with a feather or tassles on the end of it.

They also like a cardboard scratching pad that sits on the floor.

All of my cats love the little plastic ring that comes off the milk cap when you open it. They have to be unbroken though...go figure. I have a never-ending supply of free kitty toys!

Miko, loves dental floss. She hears the floss cap opening from a mile away. both my cats also enjoy the laser light (as does my 16 month old baby!) and cardboard boxes. Sometimes floor fluff will amuse them as well.

my little sealpoint meezer, Missy, has a purple glove she'll carry around for hours.

Zeus, my orange boy, likes those furry toy mice but I have to be careful with them cause my dog will eat them.

Tilly, my bluepoint meezer, likes any catnip filled cat toy

All of my cats love ping pong balls and the bit the toy comes in from kinder eggs. They also love boxes and my cotton throw rugs for my lounge carpet which seem to be deadly and have to be killed at least three times a day!
My little boy also likes tennis balls and of course the obligatory hand under the duvet!

Chessmind...I love your kittty!!! Oh he's definately Handsome!!

Annibell used to put everything, and I mean everything, watches, ponytail holders, q-tips, paper, socks...or anything she could get, into the toilet. Then she'd play with it with her paw, pushing it through the water, and then diving in after it.

needless to say, our potty was constantly stopped up, and the lid always shut, but she did eventually figure out how to wiesle her way under the lid...

Silly kitty.

Oh and not to meantion the neverending rolling with the empty toilet paper rolls....

How could I forget! Laser Pen. Always being very careful not to point near their eyes of course. My 4 year old cat still chases it like when she was a kitten.

Richard...I thought I was looking at my cat when I saw your picture. Check out my pic on the link below. How old is your cat?

Paper Towels, Toilet Paper...the rolls to both of these as well as the paper. Paper bags, pens, cardboard boxes and of course the most popular is the laser pointer!

Why do I even BUY cat toys? lol
