![]() ![]() ![]() Hello, I adopted my first cat yesterday, she is about five years old. I think she has a cold - she seems to be sneezing. Or does could that be hairballs? Her nose and eyes are clear. Anyway, my question is, must I take her to the vet right away? I mean, I don't go to the doc for a cold, only if it turns into a secondary infection. Please let me know your experience, thanks! IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Sneezing could be anything from dust and things in the environment, to allergies to a viral infection to bacterial infection to a foreign embedded object. If your kitty is sneezing excessively (non-stop), don't hesitate to get her seen immediately, by an ER vet. If she breaks the capillaries in her nasal passages, she will be bleeding. Your vet is the only one who can determine the cause, please see your vet right away. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I would keep an eye on her. If she gets worse or doesn't get better in a few days take her in. IP: Logged |
