![]() ![]() ![]() My cat Binx is a domestic long haired black cat. For the past year he has this problem of pooping on the floor. He always goes on the floor near the litter box. My vet has advised me to use ammonia on the area of the floor that he goes on to cover the smell so he don't do it again. This doen't help. I have tried everything to stop him from doing this. Why is he doing this? And how can I stop him from doing it again? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Does he pee in the box? It is curious if he poops on the floor and pees in the box, usually it is the other way around. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() You can try to change the brand of litter, if you haven't already. I suggest Yesterdays News. Made from recycled newspaper. It is great and easy to clean. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Do you have a covered box or an open box? How often do you scoop? I would clean the area with a product such as Nature's Miracle rather than ammonia. Here is a link you may find helpful regarding litterbox problems: http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Pointe/9352/litterboxhelp.html IP: Logged |
