![]() ![]() ![]() My new kitten is very sick. He's at the 24 hour emergency vet right now. The vet that the humane society sent him to treated him for round worms and we started the treatment for coccidia, but hes so infested. He stopped meowing, and purring. He was sooo lethargic. And his little paws even felt cold. He wouldn't drink so I gave him some water through his medicine dropper and took him to the vet. They say he barely has any blood because of the parasites and hes anemic from that, he is cold, though his internal temp is ok, he's dehydrated, and full of parasites. I'm disapointed at the other vet for not being aggresive enough in treatment. Now it's going to cost us a ton of money. I'm sure he'd have died at the shelter by now without treatment. So just a reminder, just because a cat/kitten has been wormed once, the infestation can be so bad that it's nor enough. Jenny IP: Logged |
