Hey everyone! I have 2 questions for everyone.

1. Everytime I arrive home my cat Shorty jumps on my shoulder and hangs over my shoulder. While hanging there he is purring very loud and (the question) he starts to drool from the mouth (no foam or anything like that, just clear liquid) and his nose starts to drip uncontrolable at a rate of about 1 drop every 3 seconds. Then he starts to sneeze because of the dripping nose. By the time I take him off my shoulder, the floor is wet and I have drip makes at the back of my shirt. It is actually very weird and funny to see. I have actually seen him blow bubbles out of his nose he he does this! What is he doing??

2. Is may sound weird but is there ANY way to get a sperm sample from a cat that has been neutured? I really regret the decission I made because my cat is VERY smart and must have some good jeans. He is actually more like a dog! I love him and want more like him. I really wish they would hurry up and get this cloning thing down pat!

Thanks!
Joe

A lot of cats drool when they are happy and content. I don't really know why, but they do. The nose dripping thing is probably just part of it for your cat. As far as a sperm sample goes I'm sure you can find a great smart kitty at the shelter too. there are too many homeless kitties

I don't think its possible to get a sperm sample from a neutered kitty. From what I've seen watching the operation, they "peel" the testicle layers like an onion and remove the testicle. But I have a kitty like yours and if you want another kitty like that, just watch his personality traits and when you're ready for another kitty you will know what to look for. There are plenty like that out there if you give them the love they crave!

The sneezing and dripping could be signs of a respiratory infection. Does he drip and sneeze all the time, or just when he is excited?

There is no way to get a sperm sample from a neutered cat. They remove the testicles completely.
Millions of fantastic cats die in the shelters every year. Instead of breeding more cats who will end up there, look into saving a life that would have ended otherwise. All of my babies have come from the pound and I couldnt have asked for better companions.
I would make sure he dosent have feline upper respiratory. Blowing bubbles from his mouth when he is excited is one thing, but from his nose usually means he is sick.

1) Sounds like he is just really relaxed. I have one that drools from time to time it usually happens when he is really relaxed, purring loudly and kneading my belly.
I can't say I've ever heard of a cats nose dripping so much that it causes bubbles to form though.

2} No,its not possible to get a sperm sample from a neutered male because his reproductive organs have been removed. I don't think you should regret having him neutered...there is no guarantee that his offspring would have his personality anyway. Besides, neutering reduces the risk of certain cancers and there are plenty of smart, wonderful cats with great personalities in need of homes.
