i know it sounds crazy, but my cat (well, he is kinda ours, he just came up to our yard about a month ago and we have had him ever since) well, he is friends with a possum... see, my dog goes crazy at night at the door, and we just thought that he heard our cat meow or something, but last night i opened the door and their was a possum (looks really young) hanging out with my cat, my cat was grooming the possum! and then, about 10 minutes ago, i went outside, and the possum was sharing food with my cat! I, of course am stearing clear of him, because they aren't the nicest things in the world. But should i be worried? should i have it removed by animal control or something??

I don't know much about Possums

It seems to me that if the cat is not at all concerned about the possum and the possum does not show any hostility towards the cat then all is good.

Tis the season for friendship.

I think that is cute, just make sure your cat is up to date on his shots.

Possums would always come eat our cat food, I never minded, I just steered clear of him.

well, my cat is up to date, but last night the funniest thing happened! I took a peek out the window, and my cat was curled up with the possum! Now, this possum isn't all that ugly, because it is still a baby, and its teeth aren't showing yet or anything, i will have to say, his tail is ugly, but as long as it doesn't hurt my cat I will tolerate him

That is too funny! I would love to see a picture of that!

(I wouldn't worry too much if your cat is up to date on the shots.)
