I am so sad. My 16 year old cat is starting to have kidney failure. I have been taking her to the vet for two weeks for treatment. I am not a wealthy person but I long for her to get better. She will not eat anything and I have tried everything I can thing of. All she wants is water, water, water. She is losing weight. I just do not thing think I can have her put to sleep at this point. She has been part of my life for so long. Has any one had problems of this kind with their cat. I want her to get better so bad.

Im very sorry to hear about your cat.
I can imagine how tough this must be for you.
My mother's dog had kidney disease, refused to eat the prescription diet and ended up losing alot of weight. She was able to get him to eat people food though.

As of a couple hours ago, I took my cat of 16 years for her last trip to the vet. She took a turn for the worst with her failing kidneys. Her vet told me I had made the right choice and he cried with me. I know she is at the rainbow bridge. But I will miss Muffin so. My heart goes out to other people who go through this.

She had a long and happy life. To her it's a release from her pain and suffering, it isn't the end of anything. She knows she will see you again, she will be on the other side waiting for you.
