Hey, It's me again

Besides my cat, I've always noticed another.. she/he's a stray. She larger than my cat and has different eyes, thats how i can tell them apart from each other from far away. Anyways, she wouldn't let me near her at all, i've tried practically EVERYTHING. I think she was abused because she get so scared when im like 5-10 feet away. She eats some of my kitty's food but I'm ok with that cause i have plenty, and even though i don't know this cat, I don't want her to die. Anyways, yesterday I discovered another stray. Orange and pretty big. She will get scared when i am like 3, or 4 feet away from her, then she runs. I've tried everything with her too. She also eats the food. I wouldn't mind if i knew the cat and she trusted me, but it seems as if im the kat kid and they all come to me for food. I want them to trust me, I don't mind giving food, but i want to know the cats. Any suggestions?
P.s. they see me petting and loving my kitty, why don't they trust me?

They are strays and probably have never had human interaction before. It can take a long time for them to trust you enough to let you pet them, like up to a year. The best thing you can do is sit still while they eat so you can show them you aren't a threat. You can slowly move closer to the food, like 1 foot closer every day. It is a long process and if you make any noises or get too close you will scare them away.
