Is my cat stupid?
I Really don't know. My cat has been very weird lately and I'm not so shure.

My Cat Has Been:

*Peeing outside his litter box
*Eating alot of food
*Walking into walls

He didn't useto be like this. Is he just stupid if not, what could have made him act this way?

How old is your cat? Does your cats gait seem to be off? Does he stumble? Your cat needs to see a vet. I wouldnt call him stupid. It could be neurological if he never used to act this way.

I agree I shouldn't have called my cat stupid this is just getting on my nerves. Oh, and you asked me how old my cat is to right?
He's 13. He doesn't stumble and how do you think this behavior started?
And what in the world does neurological mean?

It sounds like a medical condition to me. Neurological means that well...simply that something is wrong with the brain that could cause their whole body to go out of whack.
Does he seem to be looking at the world at a slant? Does he walk at a slant? When you hold him and look at his face and hold his head still, do his eyes flicker back and forth pretty quickly?

Sorry for the questions, there could just be so many different things going on with your kitty.

I would take him in and get him vet checked. The running into the wall concerns me more than the litter box problems. They could be linked togethor.

No please don't apoligize your questions are very smart. The awnsers are leading. And no he doesn't even wobble when he walks. His eyes don't flicker. He's cross-eyed could that efect his seeing?

How about his drinking water? Has that increased along with the food increase?

Cats with diabetes will eat and drink a lot. Diabetes is fairly common in older cats, as well as hyperthyroidism and kidney problems.

Crossed eyes could definitely affect vision. Have they always been crossed?

I would definitely get him in to a vet. The litterbox is the least of your worries - probably related to all the rest of the stuff.

I have a siamese mix cat with crossed eyes. Apparently that is not uncommon in simaese cats. It doesn't seem to affect her vision or agility. But hers have always been like that. If your cats eyes just recently became crossed, that is something to worry about.

I would make an appointment and get him to the vet as soon as you can, he really needs to be checked out.
