I have written in the past about my two cats Cleo and Amaretto. They have finally started to tolorate each other. This morning to our surprise we found both cats sleeping beside each other on our bed.

That is wonderful. I am really glad that you have had such a happy ending. I think it will give some people hope.

What did you do that finally worked?

Thanks for the responses so far.

We found that time was the only thing that worked. Its been 6 months since we got Cleo and only now have they become friends. Amaretto was kicked out of the bedroom by Cleo for the last 5 months. Reciently Cleo has allowed Amaretto to sleep in the bedroom but not on the bed with her. Slowly Amaretto moved from sleeping in the bedroom closet, to under the night table, to sleeping openly on the bedroom floor. Getting back on the bed is the end result.

We also bought them a cat condo which they share evenly. The one ti I would give is to place their food and litter boxes as far away as possible.

It took our two cats forever to get to like each other. Sox came after Fleabag...Flea hated her and kept his distance, though he'd lay accross the automatic feeder so she couldn't eat! Now, they sleep together, eat together, and go out with eachother and continually want in and out, in and out, in and out..... they go out side, and 2 minutes latter want back in and visa versa....grrrr..good exersize from couch to door...
