I just got 2 female cats. they are about 2 months old. all my previous cats were male.
How do female cats differ compare to Male cats?

when a female cat goes into heat how does she behave? When she has a period does she bleed? I live in an apratment I dont know if this is going to be a problem!

does spaying the cats stop them from having a period?

Congrats on your new kittens.

If you mean personality wise...I have males and females and I don't think there is much difference. They are all very affectionate.

They tend to become very vocal, may become overly affectionate and roll around a lot. They may also try and escape the house to mate and may even spray in the house.

I highly recommend that you have them spayed when they are old enough. Two intact females living in a single home are likely to fight as well as spray. Keeping them inside may be difficult when they're in heat and if they do escape they are likely to get pregnant.
If your funds are limited you may be able to find a low cost spay/neuter clinic in your area.

I have a male and female, The male got "done", she hasen't yet. She can be a little B*tch, but she's mummy little girl. i heard that females cost more to get done. but to save your apartment i would advise on doing it, maybe one at a time.

You should really get both of them spayed when the time comes. No only will it prevent them from going into heat, but down the road, it will prevent alot of health problems. The surgery can be performed when they are 4-6 months old. Dont wait pass 6 months, becasue they are likely to go into heat before then.

Females do not 'bleed' when they go into heat....but beleive me, you will know when she does. The females are ususally a little more expensive to spay becasue most vets will keep them over night to observe them. My Abby was spayed 2 weeks ago, and I brought her home the next day, and she acted like nothing ever happened

My cats don't bleed. I think you might be refering to when they are in heat. Spaying them will keep them from going into heat.

HI, unspayed cats come into heat every 4-6 weeks i have to agree with the other posts is better to have the cat spayed as if she was to fall pregnant and give birth when her babies were 4 weeks old she would already be pregnant again.

Cats do not bleed during there heat cycle but you will know when she is as she becomes very vocal and if you rub in a circular motion at the base of her tail she will crouch and raise her back end this is her way of showing she is in heat and ready.

Getting your cats fixed is also healthier for them as it reduces risks of illnesses
