Author | Topic: root canal treatment for cats? |
nick New Member ![]() Posts: 1 |
![]() ![]() ![]() I've just taken my cat to the vet for a teeth clean and he says she needs root canal treatment because her top canine teeth are chipped. They are, but only a millimetre each. He says infection will have got in and that she is in pain. I know her teeth are not right, but root canal treatment? anyone any experience of this? It's terribly expensive. How do I know if she really needs this operation? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I have no experience in this, but can you go to another vet for a second opinion? I know that costs money, too, but it might ease your mind.

![]() ![]() ![]() One of my cats canine teeth is chipped. I called the vet and they said unless it is really jagged or causing her pain not to worry about it. I would get a second opinion. IP: Logged |
