We started to notice it a few days ago. At first it was small and we thought some other cat may have attacked him or something. But now, it has gotten 3 times as big as it started, and it was a little strange, there was a sort of thin scabby layer. It's gone now, and he just has this huge bald spot on the back of his neck. I don't know what to do, is it permenant or is there treatment? Please help here or email me at lastfx@yahoo.com thank you! The cat is a male about 7 years old.

Look at pictures of ringworm on the internet to see if that looks it could be what it is.

I have one cat who maybe twice a year develops a bald spot on the back of his neck or just behind it , probably from scratching alot when I am not looking ..LOL...what I have done is put hydrocortisone anti itching spray(any store sells it) and also vaseline or aloe vera gel on it for a day or 2, I brush the area a couple of times a day for a couple of days and continue to reapply the above... and without fail with in a week or 2 it goes away and hair starts growing back nicely. Hope this helps.
