my 2 month old kitten wont eat cat food but trys to get our food ,hes got to be hungry enough to break down and eat cat food but doesnt.i dont give him people food .will he starve?what should i do? wendyhanlon@yahoo.com

He wont starve himself. Try finding a cat food that he likes, maybe he doesn't like what he is being fed. Also if you give into him and give him people food, he wont stop begging for it. You can always give him canned kitten food, he should like that.

I agree with fleafly. Try a few different kinds of canned food...Im sure you will find one that he will tolerate. Try rubbing a bit on his mouth with your finger maybe once he gets a taste of it he will be willing to eat it on his own.

I agree with the last two responses. I like to buy my cats a variety of food. I alternate food. I figure it must get old eating the same thing everyday? Just try a little of everything until you find something he loves, but dont worry. Cats wont starve themselves, even if he hates his food he most likely will eat a couple bits here and there. you may not notice it because it is such a small amount.
