Greetings All,

I just brought my cat Thursday to the Vet cause he was straining to peepee. The vet gave me a special food to feed him for a couple weeks but he refuses to eat it. I did feed him by hand a handful of it but after that he won't eat it. I don't know how to get him to eat it. He's got to be hungrier then a bear after its winter nap. I was going to call the vet but I thought I check the net first. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Hugs,
Suz

Have you tried the canned version of this food? Maybe your cat would find it more appealing. Good luck.

Try mixing some of his old food in with it. You are supposed to not just suddenly change a diet on a cat. You have to work them up to it gradually. He is probably already P.O.'d anyways cause he had to go to the vet, then he gets a totally new change of food. Try this method, or mixing in a little wet food like the other poster suggested.
