Author | Topic: Limping cat with knee damage |

![]() ![]() ![]() Our vet has taken an xray of Smudge's legs and has diagnosed possible knee ligament damage. He sent us home with Metacam an anti inflammatory/pain relief but unfortunately Smudge is limping more. We haven't confined him except at night and wonder if we should consider keeping him inside for a couple of months? I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has had experience treating limping cats with knee damage with rest or even surgery? Is there any hope for recovery? He is in good condition ( a bit fat maybe?) apart from the pain he growls about from time to time - poor boy. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I would keep him inside .. I'm new to 'cat care' but if he's recovering/takin meds, you don't want to have him messed w/ by other cats/fights/etc. IP: Logged |
