![]() ![]() ![]() I am not really sure how to go about asking this, but... My beautiful, loveable cat has, as of late, been very cautious about sitting on her rump. She is also a heck of a lot more talkative than she has been. Since she is pleasantly plump, she has not been able to clean herself. With the advice of a vet, I bought baby bottom wipes and began to clean her rump. So my questions are: Does she have hemmoroids? If so how do I treat it? Now that she's lost some weight and can reach the area, she is constantly cleaning it! Her bottom is all swollen!!! IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() It might be swollen because of her tongue, the texture might have caused the irritation, but i would call her vet and see what they say about it. It could be serious. I hope she gets better, good luck. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Also, the baby wipes could be irritating her skin. They're made for babies, not cats, so it could be possible the soap in the wipes are causing problems. I would go to a pet store, and buy wipes specifically made for cats. And definitely contact your vet ASAP to get a check up. Good luck, let us know how it turns out. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() It may also be a problem with her anal glands...cats and dogs can sometimes have a problem emptying their anal glands which causes irritation and excessive licking of the area...the glands can become impacted which can cause an infection. Your vet can empty them if it needs to be done. IP: Logged |
