Nern

Do your cats really use that carpet treehouse building? I was thinking of buying one but the large one is $400. It does have about 6 rooms and looks like a jungle gym though.

Thanks Greypaw

Garith: Yes, they love the towers...they seem to like to sleep inside and on top of them alot. I have a 2-tier condo, a 3-tier condo and a floor to ceiling cat tree. They really tore the heck out of the floor to ceiling tree...they scratch it, sleep on it and chase each other up it. I would love to get them a big jungle gym cat house eventually.

Muahaha!! Sending that picture to my husband.

We used to have 2 cats and 2 dogs. One dog ran away almost 2 years ago. (We have no idea how she got out - the other dog did not. She had a collar with our name, address, and phone number on it, and I checked every shelter in the area for weeks.) The other dog passed on this summer.

About 2 months after we lost her, we got a puppy. That brings our animal total to 2 cats, 1 dog, 15 mice, and a short-tailed opossum. When we told my in-laws that we got a puppy, their comment was something along the lines of "Gee, and we thought you were getting down to a more normal amount of pets." I don't think they even know about all the mice...

Anyway, my husband tolerates my little zoo but I know he thinks I am nuts. I am sending him your pictures so maybe he'll cut me some slack!

Someday I will own a rabbit and a bird....

Most of my friends and family think Im nuts too for having all these animals. I never planned on having so many...most of them were unwanted, dumped or strays. Some of them I ended up keeping after having no luck rehoming them but I definately can not take in anymore...for now anyway. Currently, I have 6 cats, 2 dogs, a guinea pig and a tank of goldfish. Hoping to someday buy a large house with land and start a small, cat rescue.
BTW, sorry to hear about your dogs.

I didn't see this post when it was first made. I have all of my cats for the same reason you do nern. I think the same people were dumping cats in both of our neighborhoods. I have a cat that looks like everyone of your cats. It's weird how much they all look alike!

From your pictures, it looks like your kitties get along well with each other. yer soo lucky!! I have 3 cats, and 2 of them try to stay as far apart from each other as they can. Then the 3rd one chases the other 2 and trys to pounce on them. (he's bigger than both of them also). At this point, I have a huge cat-fight occuring. but, they're ok when they're not together.....

Fleafly: I can't stand how people dump cats as if they were garbage. This past summer a girl my sister knows found a box of kittens in the woods near a park. Its so sad and yet such a common practice
You should post some pictures of your cats sometime, I would love to see them.

Blaklilac: Yes, they really do get along great....all of them and even with the dogs.

I need to conquer my digital camera so I can put pictures on here. I don't know how to get them on the computer. I do have a few from when they were little that are on the computer already. I'm not sure how to post them though.
