I have a 2 year old persian cat that i got from my father about 6 months ago, he has a upper respirtory infection. I have had him on medication all this time. he is now very dark on his belly and has lost his fur there also around his neck. The dark color of his skin is unexplainable to me because he never goes outside and is a white cat, his belly used to be pink. This and his constant sneezing, snotty nose, runny eyes is alot of work. When i told my father that i would help him out by taking the cat (he was going to take him to the pound and i didnt want him to do that) i already had 3 cats and a dog, in addition to my 5 kids. The vet said that this infection would never go away, ive spent alot of money on medicine and vet visits so far, once again he take alots of work for upkeep. Im now to a point that i dont have the time or money for him. Just to explain the time, i live 15 miles away from my childrens school so thats a 60 mile drive for my every day, my husband is on the road all the time for his job and in between being in the car most of the day im trying to take care of everything else i need to do. Anyhow my question is...is ther any organization that takes sick cats and adopts them to people that have the money and the time to take care of them? I dont want to take him to the pound i just am at a loss of what to do. Please reply with any suggestions. thanks
