This might seem like a really stupid or not serious question, but I am being dead serious. I thought stuff like this only happened in the movies! We think Sage might've "ate" my engagement ring. He was playing on the sink while I was in the shower and I heard what I now know was the ring, hit the floor. I thought I heard Sage and Nestle playing with it, but I can't be sure. There's only three possibilities for what happened to it. It fell in the crack between the cupboards and the sink (we're tearing that up tomorrow to see), Nestle grabbed it and swallowed it (we think that didn't happen because she most likely would have choked on it), or Sage had a snack. It didn't go down the sink, the drain was plugged, and it didn't go in the toilet because the seat stays closed because Sage tries to drink out of it. Should I take him to the vet if it doesn't turn up in the crack? Will it make him sick or would it come out (pardon me) "naturally"? He's a pretty big cat, so we don't think he would've choked on it, but I'm really not sure where to go from here. Please reply! I don't know whether to be worried about it, or to laugh at the situation!

Good news! Ring's been found, not inside Sage.

I think maybe a ring box with a closed lid in your bathroom may be a very good investment!

We're not sure where it was actually found (me and my mum). We know that after it dropped on the floor, the pup got it and took it out of the bathroom (itty bitty teeth marks down one side of it! I hope my guy doesn't ever try to get a close look at it again! ) and my stepdad must've got it off her. I thought SAge had it or it had dropped in a crack between the sink and counter, but when I asked him to help, he wouldn't, and that's not like him. My mom and I tore the bathroom apart, took the underboards off the cabinets, shook out the clothes, went though the trash, everything. When she got up the next morning, it fell out of the clothes we had already shook out several times. He was afraid we'd think he took it, so we never found out where he got it off the pup. Thank goodness she didn't swallow it! Now the doors to the bathroom are checked to make sure they're closed and there is a "No animal" policy in there when the door's locked because SAge'll open it if it isn't locked, and there's a ring box right behind the mirror!
